My love for hunting and the outdoors started at a very young age. My father would
take my little brother and I squirrel hunting. For the first season we carried sticks
instead of guns to learn proper firearm handling.  At the age of 6, I took my
hunters safety course in the state of Maryland then we could really go squirrel
hunting which I believe was just a reason for my dad to teach me about deer and
how to pattern mature animals. By the time I was 9, I harvested my first deer with
a shotgun. At about this age I also took up my father’s love of capturing hunts on
video. A few of my close friends and I set up a blind in my parents back yard and
would video archery squirrel hunts.

harvested my first deer with a bow. By this age  I was competing in every turkey
calling contest my father could get me to. At the age of 13- I had quite a few deer
under my belt I had also harvested my first turkey in November I harvested a 22
point nontypical.

Over the next 10 years I took every chance I had during hunting season to get in
the woods, and even if it wasn’t hunting season I would be shooting 3D or shed
hunting. I enjoy nothing more than getting a youth hunter out for their first time or
helping get a handicap or mobility impaired person out in the woods.
