Most of you are in the latter part of your turkey season,
which is probably getting pretty hard. Don't get
frustrated -- it's time to get out there and REALLY put
your time into scouting. You should be doing a lot of
glassing, LOOKING for birds since they may not be
gobbling from all of the pressure they are feeling. Look
for fresh sign & hens bedding on eggs. This time of year,
ambush strategies work really well, so pick a spot where
you see toms coming out and do little to no calling --
believe it or not, you will have a better chance of
killing them on their natural feeding pattern than
calling them in.
