Well here it is, APRIL and spring is in the air. Now that
the deer season is behind us, we need to forward our
attention to the birds. With this being said, My "Tip of
the month" is this: To enhance my chances for success in
harvesting a mature tom, scouting plays a crucial roll. I
like to head into the woods prior to the opener and walk,
observe, and learn. By doing so you can figure out where
the birds have been spending there time. For example,
finding where the birds have been scratching is an
indication that they have been feeding there. Scouting
for birds is also a great time to learn more about your
deer heard. Finding sheds is a blast but on top of
that,it gives you a great idea of what your heard will
consist of for the following season. I hope this bit of
information aids in positive results for you this spring.
